Activities & Programs

From Cub Scout Day Camp to Merit Badge Academies, our Scouts have unlimited opportunities to learn, impact and explore their communities. We offer a variety of activities- both educational and fun- that Scouts and their families can participate in individually or with their unit. New activities are added often, so be sure to check back. 

For Cub Scouts

Join us for a 3-day, 2-night outdoor camping experience where Scouts venture to multiple themed lands and their imaginations come alive!  Held at Camp Nicol!

Adventure is calling! Get ready for a 4-day, 3-night outdoor camping experience. Jump start year by completing 5 Rank Adventures plus a variety of fun activities!

Cub Activity Days

Attention Cub Scouts! Attend one of our regionally located Cub Scout events to complete Program Adventures! do activities, BB-guns, Archery, Crafts, Field Sports and More!

Held in October. A Fall Hiking adventure for Cub Scouts through vibrant autumn landscapes, blending fun activities with self-led games and a patch.

Held in October at Camp Nicol.
Get ready for a spooktacular time at camp!  Shooting sports, games, hay rides, and more! An adventure the whole family will enjoy!

Held in December at Camp Nicol! Attend this Holiday Cub Scout event to ring in the holiday season! Festive activities including seasonal crafts, range activities, and more!

For Scouts BSA & Venturing

Just 8 miles away from Yellowstone National Park! This famous camp is a once in a lifetime destination full of beauty, wildlife, and adventure!

Experience a true mountain cattle ranch in the heart of the Colorado Rockies! BDSR is a merit badge summer camp full of Scouting Spirit and an amazing program unlike any other!

Experience any one of 5 adventures  at a once in a lifetime destination! Backpacking! Climbing! Whitewater! & Kayaking!

High-alpine backpacking with alpine lakes and amazing views.  Natural rock climbing, repelling, & black powder shooting. 50-miler option. 

June 7th-13th, 2026 at Camp Laramie Peak. For Scouts BSA youth, NYLT is a 6-day, 5-night course that provides skills and experiences to become better leaders in their unit and lives.

Sept 18th-20th 2026, at Camp Laramie Peak.  Join us for the Council Camperall! Weekend event full of fun and adventure! Zip-Lines! Shooting Sports! Patrol Competitions! and more!

Held in December at Camp Laramie Peak.
This 4-day camp offers merit badges, Eagle bound, program activities, and much more!

Camp Service Days

Gain service hours by helping us make our camps the best they can be! Lunch is provided and you can make it a campout!

Council Recognition Banquet

April 11th, 2026 in Cheyenne 
Honoring 2025 Eagle Scouts and Adult Volunteers that have made an impact in the lives of youth through Scouting. 

For Adults. Annual training event offering more than 100 classes taught by volunteers who share their knowledge and passion.

For Commissioners and Volunteers. Attending is an investment in your role as a Commissioner and in the overall health of the Scouting program.

Scouting’s religious awards program gives Scouts a chance to explore their faith. The curriculum is created by each denomination.

Jamboree-on-the-Air, or JOTA, is held annually the third weekend in October. Scouts use amateur radio and internet to connect with other Scouts and hams around the world.

Wood Badge is more than just a course; it’s a journey that goes beyond the basics of Scouting; it’s about embracing the values and ideals that make the program so impactful.
